Join Genesis as a Restorative Nurse Aide where in collaboration with a licensed nurse and rehabilitation therapy, you will support patients' ability to attain, and maintain their maximum functional abilities/potential and prevent decline. You'll deliver efficient and effective restorative nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. Position Highlights Provide, oversee, direct and participate in restorative programs and care for individual patients.Maintain accurate restorative nursing progress/documentation records on all patients participating in any restorative programParticipate in the care planning process.Facilitate the transition of patients from skilled rehabilitation services to the restorative programs.Train other direct care staff in restorative techniques, equipment, and the application of splints, braces, prosthetic appliances, and self-help devices to assure proper application and usage.Notify nursing and/or rehabilitation therapy of patients who may be experiencing a change in their level of functioning.May be requested to function as CNA if needed. Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program is required.Two years' experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant -- CNA and knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures is required.A minimum of a high school education or high school equivalency diploma is preferred.Basic knowledge computers is preferred.*Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs provided by the nursing center in order to maintain certification.To protect the health and safety of our patients, residents, employees, family members, and the communities we serve, Genesis has implemented a universal COVID-19 vaccination requirement for employees, care partners and onsite vendors.
