Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager of Communications will manage company-wide communications programs for Genesis Rehab Services and Respiratory Health Services in order to effectively promote both organizations and their many products and services. She/he will develop, produce and manage corporate communications and external marketing programs, both digital and print.


  1. Manage corporate marketing and communication programs, processes and mechanisms, including both written and electronic components.

  2. Plan and support lifecycle management of the GRS/RHS corporate intranet (RehabCentral) and public websites ( and

  3. Develop press releases and manage public relations initiatives for GRS/RHS.

  4. Create and manage internal and external programs and campaigns that raise awareness of GRS/RHS and of the industry as a whole.

  5. Manage design conception and implementation of GRS/RHS deliverables, both digital and print.

  6. Establish and manage brand identity for GRS/RHS and its programs and services to ensure that brand standards and consistency of tone, style, voice and message are upheld company-wide.

  7. Counsel and consult with various departments on implementing effective communication strategies.

  8. Suggest and support new products and processes that improve internal and external communications.

  9. Work with outside vendors, including photographers, videographers, printers, designers and developers.

  10. Maintain a working knowledge of copyright law and HIPAA.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. 2.
