Genesis Healthcare Specialist -- HR Compliance Support in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

POSITION SUMMARY: The Compliance Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating all aspects of employee licensure verification. This includes working with the external license validation vendor as well as centers and other members of the Human Resources team to ensure that all employees are working with current and accurate licensure credentials in place.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Monitors the GenSERV license validation daily to review open license verification requests, including but not limited to updating license validation process within GenSERV and advises verification requestor of any inconsistencies or issues found with the data.

  2. Identifies licensure issues that present a potential liability for the Company, including name or license number inconsistencies and works with necessary internal and external sources to resolve issues.

  3. Utilizes information entered within GenSERV to verify employee license data with direct sources including state board websites, phone verification or written verification. This includes but is not limited to coordinating with the HR support team to monitor and resolve license name discrepancies and forwarding identified license disciplinary action to appropriate HR team members.

  4. Responsible for coordinating data exchange with license validation vendor. This includes providing weekly reports to the vendor and receiving validated license information from the vendor.

  5. Identifies licenses received from vendor that require additional research and works with external and internal resources to reconcile issues or escalate to supervisor if preliminary reconciliation is not possible.

  6. Responsible for validating information and uploading images provided by licensure vendor to ensure that information is reflected properly. Works with project manager and vendor to remedy errors promptly.

  7. Supports field Human Resource team members providing information related to the license validation process. Responds to license related inquiries from field users in a timely manner and works with field Human Resources team members to address identified issues when licensure has lapsed or is questionable.

  8. Assists in researching licensure requirements for specific job positions as necessary. Includes working with supervisor to research and verify status of licensure or professional credentials when necessary.

  9. Performs special license validation reviews related to new acquisitions or business necessities that may arise. This includes special licensure-related projects that may be requested by Director.

  10. Performs all related duties as requested.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. Two years prior work experience preferred in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 3. Basic computer skills and knowledge is required, including ability to effectively utilize PeopleSoft Financial and HRMS applications. 4. Knowledge of Windows based software is preferred, including proven Excel skills. 5. Knowledge of general licensure requirements and basic human resources policy.
